In July, Tongren enjoys clear skies and gentle breezes. The "2025 National Textile Raw Materials Information Exchange Conference and the 46th Wool Salon of Zhangjiagang Wool Chamber of Commerce", co-hosted by Zhangjiagang Wool Chamber of Commerce, Beijing Meixi United Trading Co., Ltd., Zhangjiagang Yangzi Combed Top Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Yongjin Biotechnology Co., Ltd. and other units, was officially held in Tongren, Guizhou on July 11. As one of the co-organizers, Zhu Jiankun, General Manager of our company, attended the conference and joined colleagues from the national textile industry in this 5-day industry event (July 10-14).

Consumer End: Data from the National Bureau of Statistics shows that during the recovery cycle of the consumer confidence index from 2020 to 2025, the "rational adjustment" of the growth rate of clothing consumption is actually a forced signal of consumption upgrading. The market is shifting from "scale competition" to "value competition", driving the industry to focus on precise and high-end innovation of products.

Trade End: Data from the General Administration of Customs reveals the "supply chain resilience upgrading" of wool imports. The import of Australian raw wool has shrunk in the short term (a decrease of 20,300 tons in the past 12 months), while the imports from Uruguay and Argentina have increased against the trend and are concentrated in leading enterprises. This reflects that domestic enterprises have made forward-looking layouts for a diversified supply system, injecting anti-risk vitality into the industry.

International Market: New Zealand wool has "decreased in quantity but increased in price" (exports in 2024/25 decreased by 14.4%, and auction prices rose), confirming the value return of high-quality resources, and scarcity endowing high-end raw materials with stronger pricing power. The auction prices of Australian wool diverged in the first half of 2025 (fine wool adjusted slightly, coarse wool rose by 5.6%-16.4%), which is a precise feedback of the market on differentiated products. The growth momentum of coarse wool categories highlights the development potential of characteristic raw materials.

Global Supply: The global wool production in 2024/25 is expected to drop to 1 million tons (clean wool). Although it is at a historical low, it also amplifies the scarcity value of high-quality wool, opening up a "value blue ocean" for enterprises deeply engaged in the high-end field.

These data are not a microcosm of the predicament, but a growth footnote of industrial self-iteration: consumption upgrading drives innovation, supply chain restructuring enhances resilience, value differentiation highlights characteristics, and scarcity spawns high-end opportunities...
